Prayer of the Day
Loving God,
we begin this new day in the sure knowledge that you have claimed us as your children.
In all that we do, keep us mindful of actions that are pleasing in your sight.
In all that we say, make us attentive to the witness we give to your love.
Let our lives be an example to all whom we encounter, living as daughters and sons of God
who follow in the path of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord's Supper
We are instructed to celebrate the Lord's Supper "frequently enough to be recognized as integral to the Service for the Lord's Day" and so we normally celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month.
Some months it is especially appropriate to celebrate it on days other than the first Sunday.This month we celebrate on both the first and second Sunday, which are the Epiphany and Baptism of the Lord respectively. In February we will not celebrate it on the first Sunday as is customary, but on the second Sunday which is the Transfiguration of the Lord
