"The homeless in our communities have pets that they love deeply. These pets, though loved, are at risk to carry many diseases that can be spread to other pets in the community. One of the ways I personally balance all of these things is to work with 'Feeding Pets of the Homeless'. "   Quote from: Dr. Ford - Galena Veterinary Hospital

How does the Humane Rx Card work?

Here's a real-life example from February 1st just a few days ago, when one of our FREE Humane Rx Cards was used at a Walmart, to get discounts on 3 prescriptions.

The total regular Walmart price of the scripts, without the card, would've been $76.34. The total cost of all three prescriptions, with the card, was $30.90 - a savings in the pocket of the cardholder of $45.44!

Here's the kicker - for each discount prescription, Cause Rx donates $2.00 to Feeding Pets of the Homeless ($4.00 in donations from just this one customer)!

One in 4 people in the U.S. have NO prescription coverage, and could really use the help. And every time they save with our Humane Rx Card, it helps  Feeding Pets of the Homeless.

Emergency Cases

Baby D's owner is homeless and lives on the streets of Hollywood, CA.  Baby D was hit in the leg by someone that thought the dog was going to attack him.  Pets of the Homeless helped this pup with the treatment for a broken leg.  The goal is to keep the dog's leg in a cast so the break can heal on it's own.  This is Baby D's second cast.

Update on Buddy Buddy tested positive for Parvo the beginning of February and is now "perfectly healthy" per the veterinary office. The homeless owner is forever thankful! Thank you for helping POTH save Buddy's life.
