"It is not by the boot, the stick, the kennel and
chain that a dog can be trained or made man's
loyal friend.  But only by love.  For those who understand, no explanation is needed.  For those  who do not, no explanation will prevail."

SF Marathon

Are you a runner?  We've got an exciting opportunity, please keep reading!!

Have you heard of the San Francisco Marathon?  Well, it's happening on July 26th!  They have full and half marathon options for your specific running goals!

Did you know that the San Francisco Marathon is a great way for nonprofits to raise money using crowdraising?  That's right!  You can make your training and race more meaningful and run for a cause!

Pets of the Homeless wants to be a part of it!  The only problem is, we need to make sure you do too!  We are looking for at least FIVE interested runners who can commit to being a part of the Pets of the Homeless team!

Contact us ASAP if you are interested in running in the San Francisco Marathon and participating in a crowdraiser for Pets of the Homeless.  We haven't started the crowdraiser yet, but if we receive enough interest, we will get to be a part of this amazing race!

Also, if you are already registered for the San Francisco Marathon, and are looking to make your training and race day more meaningful, please let us know you are interested in being a part of our crowdraiser.

Emergency Cases
A homeless man and his trusty companion
Dusty were fishing when a hook was accidentally lodged into Dusty's upper lip.  The Retriever mix was sedated for a painless removal.  POTH also paid for medication.  Dusty has recovered and is back to fishing with his dad.

Mars, a Pit mix had a bad yeast infection on the pads of his feet.  His homeless owner found Pets of the Homeless and we were able to get the dog some needed treatment.   The doctor prescribed four medications to try and treat the infection.

A homeless woman's dog was attacked by another dog. Curly had a huge gash on his cheek.  Surgery was needed.  Pets of the Homeless, along with another organization and the homeless woman, all pitched in to help.

Pets of the Homeless is experiencing a huge increase in emergency cases.  Please donate today to help these animals in need.  Donate here
Reno Wellness Clinic
The 2015 Project Homeless Connect was a success! Dr. Ford with Galena Veterinary Hospital and his wonderful team were able to vaccinate over 55 pets. We would also like to thank all of the volunteers who came out to help as well! We could not do this without you.
