Recent Emergency Cases
This is Ohano, her homeless owner called Pets of the Homeless because she was not feeling well, not drinking and eating very little.  The vet ran some tests and came back with nothing.  They did an ex-ray thinking she was in pain.  The diagnosis came back with possible arthritis or hip displaysia.

Lillie, pit bull was diagnosed with mammory gland cancer.  Boulevard Animal Hospital in Castro Valley, CA performed the surgery.  Lillie is recovering nicely.

Luna, a Chihuahua mix had an eye infection.  Luna lives in a motor home with her parents.  Lone Mountain Vet Hospital in Carson City, NV performed an exam, a tear & pressure test,  she was given eye drops a de-wormer and vaccinations.

Dot & Ratchet, are cats that live in a tent with their homeless owner.  A veterinary hospital in Lomita, CA treated the two cats with an  exam, cleaned the infected wounds, dispensed cleaning supplies, pain medications and gave them both vaccinations.

Anna Bella, a Sharpei mix was seen by a veterinary clinic in Fontana, CA for hip dysplasia.  She was in pain & limping.  The hospital gave her pain medication and x-rays.  She will eventually need to see a specialist.

Wellness Clinic in Reno, NV
Cuddles on her way to temporary home Once again the staff at Pets of the Homeless and staff from Galena Veterinary Hospital will be headed to the Reno Event Center to vaccinate and exam up to 90 pets on January 27.  Volunteers in the area are welcome to help.  Call the office to sign up for this opportunity to see first hand the wonderful pets owned by the homeless.
