I will never move and not take you with me.
I will never put you in a shelter and leave.
I will never let you starve.
I will never let you hurt.
I will never desert you when you get old.
Nor will I leave you when you go blind.
If that time comes I will be there to hold you.
Because I love you and you are FAMILY.

This is "Bic", his homeless owner thought he may have parvo.  He was having tummy troubles and just not himself.  Luckily the parvo test came back negative and was given fluids and medication for his upset stomach.  Bic is feeling much better.

Panda & Spanky were treated for kennel cough, both dogs were taken away from their homeless owner and brought to animal control through unfortunate circumstances.   The wonderful team at VCA were able to treat both dogs and thanks to a caring homeless advocate, that contacted POTH both dogs are on the road to recovery.  Both are back with their homeless owner who was able to find inhabitable lodging.

Buddy's homeless owner called Pets of the Homeless because he was itching his skin raw from flea bites. The veterinarian prescribed flea medication and was able to vaccinate the pup.

Little Bit: Cat broke it's leg due to either a dog attack or hit by car, owner was not sure (lives in trailer near junk yard).  Doctor said to have cat rest and be restricted not to go outside for a couple of weeks to see if leg would heal on it's own.

Meaty: dog had swollen glands and was not feeling well.  The vet hospital preformed an exam, blood work, medication, aspiration and cytology.  Homeless owner brought dog back a few days later due to abnormally swollen head.  Owner agreed to have dog put down.

POTH had a total of 20 cases for the month of August.  If you would like to donate to help these animals in need, please click here:  DONATE
