"Life After LACHSA"
Alumni Panel For LACHSA Seniors
We are looking for alumni to serve on our Life After LACHSA panel for all of our graduating seniors. Come back and share what lessons you have learned about life after LACHSA.
More than 1,500 aspiring singers participated in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions this year, thought to be the most prestigious voice competition in the field. After auditions in 40 districts and 13 regions in the United States and Canada, it all came down to the Grand Finals concert on Sunday afternoon at the Met. Julie is one of only five winners selected for this prestigious award!
Justin Klunk M/09 dazzled audiences at the electric TechWorks concert this past April. Justin returned to LACHSA with much more than his degree USC in Contemporary Music and an inspired performance. He brought his own band, original material, and a newly-released self-titled EP. He shared his excitement at being at LACHSA, "to come back to this new building and hear these amazing LACHSA students in an expanded Techworks is such a thrill. I owe so much to this program for preparing me for success at USC."
Theatre Alumnus Philip Santos Schaffer performed in the world premiere of No Place to Hide at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Educational Center in New York City.
Philip credits his LACHSA class with Graham Jackson as the place where he was first introduced to The Living Theatre. Additional performances of No Place to Hide and The Life of the Theatre (adapted and directed by Philip) will occur in July as part of the Underground Zero festival in New York City.
