Talking about Art with Bex - Feature - Convo
 

Bex Freund is working on a Masters Degree in Comics, an innovative new program at California College of the Arts. She was still a student at LACHSA when the ideas that became the foundation for her thesis project, a graphic novel, first came to her.

Maritess (Panillo) Plewnarz T/98
 
Formerly the Alumni Association Board's Treasurer and it's current '98 Class Rep, Maritess has served LACHSA alumni in more ways than one. She's helped organize reunions & fundraisers, and has reconnected alumni to the school.

Currently Maritess is a Project Coordinator at LAUSD supporting an exciting initiative to provide 600,000 students with tablet computers. She also owns Almond Blossom Bakeshop, a confectionery that donates 25% of profits to fund public education.
LACHSA in Iceland

Roland Hartwell M/87 

From rocking out with his band CYNIC GURU to keeping his classical fingers running as a violinist in the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, Rolland Hartwell is representing LACHSA well in Europe. His band has been signed to indie labels in the UK and has two top ten hits: #1 hit Drugs and Top Ten hit
