Historical Tidbit:
Raynham Iron Works

Iron works were the dominant industry in Raynham for more than two centuries.  The importance that was attached to iron works is apparent from the town seal, which depicts the iron works along with the date 1652.

The Raynham iron works were not the oldest in the state.
Iron works in Lynn, Saugus, and Braintree were started prior to those in Raynham.  However, the iron works in Raynham have the distinction of being the iron "manufactory" that was in continuous operation for the longest period of time.  The iron works continued to operate in Raynham until 1873.

Irish Republicanism
 Wednesday, March 16 - 6:30 PM
Raynham Public Library, 760 South Main St

This year is the 100th anniversary
of the Irish uprising known as the
Easter Rising, when a handful of Irish patriots tried to wrest control of Ireland from Great Britain and set up a Republic.

Irish Republicanism has impacted culture, politics, and economics of Ireland throughout history.  By examining the lives of Wolfe Tone, Michael Collins, James Connolly, Bobby Sands, and Gerry Adams, we can see how the meaning of "Irish Republicanism" has evolved and what this means for the Irish peace process today.  Lisa Fields joins us to discuss "The Meaning of Irish Republicanism."  Please register.

Adopt-A-Highway provides excellent marketing exposure, daily.  Signs reach consumers on-the-go and in the marketplace.  Here's why:
  • It is more affordable than traditional media such as radio and newspaper.
  • Located on primary traffic arteries, signs are visible to drivers, commuters and long distance travelers.
  • Sponsorship marketing can bring your message to a local audience and impact your customers where they live, work and play.
  • Logo signage provides exposure where other formats of advertising cannot be found.
