Congratulations and Good Luck to our Bridgewater/ Raynham / WB Gymnastics Team ! They placed fourth in the MIAA Girls South Gymnastics Meet last weekend. 

Our team will advance to MIAA Girls Gymnastics State Championship at Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, and a top-three finish among those eight competing teams will earn a spot at the 22nd annual New England Interscholastic Girls Gymnastics Championship on March 12th. You go, girls!!!

The BRRHS Gymnastics Team season record was 8 Wins and 1 loss.  Their Coach, Stephen Cudworth, was recently named the Massachusetts High School Gymnastics Coach of the Year!  Congratulations to all of the members of the BRRHS Gymnastics Team and to Coach Cudworth for his tremendous honor.  Great Job!

Ecumenical Lenten Services 2016

The Greater Taunton Clergy Association follows a long tradition with Ecumenical services on Thursday evenings during the season of Lent. The services are held in a different church each week, with the preacher coming from another area church.  The public is cordially invited to attend these services as make our spiritual journey through the season of Lent.

The evening begins with light refreshments at 6:30 PM, provided by the host church.  (We will not be holding pot luck dinners this year.)
The service is held at 7:00 PM.  An offering will be received at each service to benefit the work of Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and the St. Francis Samaritan House Shelter.

     Club member, Jim Watkins, will present a program, "Mushrooms:  their magic and wonder greet the Gardener and invite them on a journey of buried treasure, exponential growth, and a find rooted with the plants they adore." You are invited with a short excursion into their world using all your senses. OPEN HOUSE
March 7th, 7-9 pm
Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School 

Everyone is welcome to our open house on March 7 to learn about the upcoming new 10-week training.

Learn about CERT:  a FEMA initiative that educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills.

Come and meet some current team members, ask questions, and learn how you can benefit from the basic training course that begins on Monday, March 28, 2016.  The basic training course will meet Monday evenings from 
6:30-9 pm for 10 weeks (skipping two Monday holidays).  The regional consolidated basic training encompasses seven communities (Raynham, Bridgewater, East Bridgewater, West Bridgewater, Whitman, Hanson, and
Halifax).  This course will be held at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School.

Scholarship Opportunity 

The AAUW Taunton Area Branch is offering a $500 Mary Anderson Memorial Scholarship for college students.  Applicants must be graduates of a high school in Southeastern Massachusetts who will be entering the junior or senior year of college in the fall of 2016 with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and a commitment to improving the lives of women and girls.

Raynham Reads Begins

pick up a copy of "Profiles in Courage" by John F. Kennedy.  Check out the schedule and join the discussion for the Raynham Reads' 2016 events & activities.
If you are a Blue Cross and medicare or medicare advantage member, you are eligible for up to $150. in reimbursement in a calendar year for fitness classes at the Senior Center/CounciI on Aging.  This reimbursement is for a 12-month period beginning January 1 and ending December 31.  The applications are available on-line at the Tufts member site or call the Blue Cross/Blue Shield members' benefits telephone number in your insurance package.
AARP Tax Service

The AARP Foundation free tax assistance and preparation is for taxpayers with low to moderate incomes.  You must call 508-824-2740 for an appointment.  Taxes are done on Thursdays only by appt. 
If a taxpayer or a dependent is enrolled in Medicare or Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Tri-Care, a Veterans' Affairs issued policy, CHIP, an employer-sponsored plan for the full year, all MEC requirements have been met and no further information is required. Otherwise, taxpayers are encouraged to have the following documents when they arrive at their appointment:
1.  Health insurance coverage information for a taxpayer, spouse and all dependents.
2.  Information showing what months they didn't have health insurance coverage if they didn't have it for a full year.
3.  If health insurance was purchased through the Marketplace/Exchange, then they should bring Form 1095-A which should be received by January 31.
4.  Documentation, if any, of a Health Care Exemption received from the IRS or the Marketplace/Exchange.
5.  All information needed to complete the returns for the taxpayer/spouse and for each dependent that has a filing requirement.
