Historical Tidbit:
Do you know your Raynham Villages?

Village -noun- a settlement usually larger than a hamlet and smaller than a town; an incorporated minor municipality.
Our geography here couldn't support large-scale farming so villages had a more compact design than other colonies of early America.  The essence of each village was centered around the particular commercial / industrial goods it produced.  Homes were close together and each village had its common areas such us a meeting house, woodlands and pasture land.  It's here we find, still to this day, our unique tight-knit community bond.

The term "village" is often interchanged with:  "localities, districts, neighborhoods or sections. Raynham villages are: Raynham Center, Prattville, Tracy Corner, Raynham, North Raynham.
