Historical Tidbit:

Our bell was cast in 1875 by William Blake & Co and presented to the Trustees of the Howard Fund by Otis Drury.
According to the American Bell Association International, Inc, William Blake was an apprentice of Paul Revere.
Later, W. Blake & Company was located at Allen Street in Boston, Massachusetts and was in operation from 1820 to 1890.
At that time, he operated under the names of W. Blake & Co. and Blake Bell Co.  The largest bell he made weighed 3,000 pounds. What a gem of a school bell we have!

Our home delivered meals program, also know as "Meals on Wheels", are designed to provide just the right combination of good nutrition and a friendly visitor for people 60+ who may not have enough food, be able to prepare their own food, or understand the proper nutritional requirements as they are advancing in age.

We deliver meals based on need, so whether long or short term, we can help you or a loved one eat properly.  Whether recovering from surgery or an illness, or just not having the mobility to get to the market on a regular basis, Meals on Wheels is there to support seniors in our communities

All meals served meet one-third of a participant's daily nutritional requirements and are designed to be low in sodium, fat, and sugar.  And if the participant's doctor requests a diabetic diet plan, we can usually accommodate that by offering a modified meal.    www.sselder.org

The inspiration of life...

"You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should be trying to control." ~ Elizabeth Gilbert;

"We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty." ~ Maya Angelou
