Historical Tidbit : The Trolley Connecting Our Towns

The first electric trolley line in Brockton was the East Side Street Railway, which opened in November 1888, with great success.

In 1896, a line ran from Brockton to West Bridgewater, Bridgewater and Taunton.  The following year, the line ran to East Bridgewater.
On July 4, 1897, amid a blaring band, cheering crowds and speeches from the company and town officials, the first electric trolley rumbled down Pleasant St, East Bridgewater.

The route began in the Montello section in Brockton and followed Montello St, to Plain St into West Bridgewater down Belmont St into East Bridgewater center.  Passengers who were continuing on would then have to disembark and wait for a trolley to Bridgewater center.

For a time, one could travel almost anywhere in the area, even to Nantasket Beach! Many families journeyed to Island Grove in Abington or Mayflower Grove in Pembroke.  In summer, the open sided cars were used for the comfort of the passengers.

In 1923, the William H Luddy bus company began to run buses from Bridgewater, East Bridgewater & Whitman thus signalling the end for an already troubled trolley line, which ceased to operate altogether by September 25, 1929.

Stress Reduction & Fertility
There is a great need for Health and Well-being Education because using our own Inner Ability for healing is successful and rewarding. Many studies have been established that the use of Hypnosis has an impact on our cellular response, especially as it pertains challenges of infertility, pregnancy, and birthing. Couples have a greater chance of conceiving when they use hypnosis. Research has shown that for some couples the biggest obstacle to conception and full term pregnancy after trying to conceive for a year is stress!

Stress is the main reason that our autonomic nervous system (ANS) runs a muck. With the mind constantly anticipating, thinking about timing and the focusing on the natural body cycle, it creates stress. Stress can create several condition's directly influencing the physical functioning of our reproductive system by creating imbalances: *Poor follicle production, *Disrupting glandular functions *Creates interruption of our hormone levels and its functions *And inadequate uterine blood flow. Several of these can happen in either the woman or the man. Approximately 30/40% percent of infertility can be due to a male factor.

How do we reduce our levels of stress? We adopt a healthy life style using a mind/ body healing program. Mind / body well-being works for both men and women. Hypnosis and Arvigo Maya abdominal massage, the modalities I work with, give a person stress reduction techniques they can take with them to use in their daily life, helping to make a lasting change.

One couple learned hypnosis helped reduce the stress of balancing careers and the symptoms of Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). In another case a women was referred for a relaxing massage to reduce her stress in hopes of becoming pregnant. Through future consultation, we realized that an Arvigo Maya abdominal massage to re-position her organs for in adequate blood flow was the best treatment. That would increase her chances of reproducing. Both couples became pregnant after working with me.

The Arvigo Maya massage goal is to ensure that the uterus is in the correct position, to re-position organs that have dropped and restricted the flow of blood and lymph, nerve and energy. It restored the balance in her body. Restricted blood flow or old blood may indicate that the uterus is tilted. Woman athletes, or those who have had surgeries and accidents can have misalignment in the uterus, effecting homeostasis. Just imagine how increasing oxygen and blood supply will increase your chances of reproducing: or help your healing from injuries.

Being taught self-hypnosis reprograms us at a cellular level. When we reach a certain level or plane of mental and physical relaxation through hypnosis, electrical and bio-chemical changes can occur within our body. Changes that have both a relaxing and healing effect on our entire internal system. Hypnosis helps couples change emotional blocks that maybe manifesting; such as fears of failure and disappointment and memories of significant loss.
Couples are given guided exercises for meditation, self- hypnosis and visualization; tools and techniques for reducing stress and processing issues that might be blocking conception. These build self- esteem and a positive belief system around getting pregnant.

If you have any questions about either of these healing modalities, please feel free to contact me for a free consultation.

Pas·sage
ˈpasij: noun: the act or process of moving through, under, over, or past something on the way from one place to another.

We use the term passage for travel, a movement of time & when someone transitions from this life.

"Rituals, anthropologists will tell us, are about transformation. The rituals we use for marriage, baptism or inaugurating a president are as elaborate as they are because we associate the ritual with a major life passage, the crossing of a critical threshold, or in other words, with transformation."
