Layered Rugs
 Layering a graphic patterned or brightly colored rug can provide a wow factor that makes for a memorable space. The neutral striped flatweave in the living room of Nate Berkus, image on right, balances the energy of the starburst wall hanging as well as adds a comfortable layer to the room. The sisal underneath is a subtle way to frame and finish the space. A larger striped rug would have been overwhelming. We think it's a nice balance.
