Big & Bold
Oversized contemporary rugs are notoriously difficult to find and we are always on the lookout for just the right pieces for our discerning clients. A recent addition to our collection is a boutique line of large-scale Ikats and designs inspired by Deco lines as well as the textures of nature. Velvety banana silks in a variety of solids have been selected specifically for the design purist. All rugs are available in sizes of 10x14 and up.

Did You Know...
Green was the color associated with the Prophet Mohammed and refers to hope, renewal and paradise. It was often not used at all in rug weaving or reserved for sections of the carpet that wouldn't be walked on too frequently.

Yellow & Blue Make Green
Rug makers throughout the world have used natural dyes for thousands of years. Most of the greens that are seen on rugs are produced by consecutively dying the yarn with blue, derived from indigo, followed by yellow, derived from a variety of plants including weld and larkspur. The combination of the double dying process produces green. The layers of color give the wool a depth of hue that cannot be matched by synthetic dyes.
