'Is it me?'
How often have you posed that question (either to yourself or a trusted colleague) when you've encountered a situation where there is a clear disconnect you have with someone who plays some role in a success you are seeking?
Here is the answer you may not want to hear, but I believe you already know is the truthful answer:
Yes, it IS you.
You are NOT in alignment with a stakeholder in your success.
The next time you uncover a misalignment with someone important to your progress, consider this question FIRST:
What are you going to do about it?
1. Will you spend time on a self-serving question ('Is it me?') to validate what you already know?
2. Will you invest energy in reveling in a sense of strength that your self-serving question and position provides for you?
3. Will you set your self aside and focus on getting to
the root of the misalignment and fix it?
