LIFE IS A TRIP... JUST DON'T GET LOST!

I usually teach my students that 'Life is for living... joyfully'... sounds good, right?! I mean, after all who would want to live 'unhappily ever after'... and yet so many people do. I can't tell you how many people come to me with just that problem - a bad relationship... and even worse divorce... abusive or neglectful parents, rude bosses, the list goes on and on...

And I always ask them how long ago did they realize this was going on?... would you believe '5 years'!! So, for the last 5 years they simply sat there, allowing it to go on... with feelings getting more and more abused, and the offenses mounting... and for what!?...

MAKING SENSE OF THE ASTRAL PLANE

Ancient and modern religions have used many different labels to describe that plane of life that all souls migrate to immediately after physical death. The many names attributed to this plane that is composed of matter much finer than the most rarified gas include-the spirit world, heaven, the afterlife, and by Occultists- the astral plane or "the astral". Here we find Valhalla of the Norse legends, Kama Loka of the Hindu scriptures, and the Happy Hunting Ground of the Native American. Within the many subdivisions of the astral plane are levels that correspond to the Catholic Purgatory as well as the Hells of all religions...

November 1, Mercury(our thought processes) joins the Sun(our consciousness) in watery, intense Scorpio offering us his assistance in our processing of the information recently gleaned from Saturn's stay in this sign. Saturn, taskmaster that he is, created a situation which had the feel that we were engaged in a Ph.D. program in Depth Psychology using our own unconscious as a curriculum. Congratulations! We gained insights into ourselves and freedom from previously concealed aspects of our psyche which have been fouling us up. Positive inner resources are now acknowledged allowing us to take advantage of welcome gifts we were clueless about....

OH MY HEART, MY HEART... MY POOR WOUNDED HEART

I've yet to meet someone who has never had their heart broken... for if I did, I would be suspicious that they never had a heart in the first place. Yes, Life can be very joyous, filled with many wonderful people, glorious sunsets, exciting adventures, rewarding careers, truly meaningful relationships and generous friends... aaaaand because we live in a world of Duality, the opposite is equally true!!!(just look at the news).

So, understanding that Life can be (in the words of many Buddhists), "a moment of joy caught between two sorrows"... (not my opinion - I would rather see it as many moments of joy, with a few hiccups along the way... yep, I'm a strong believer in the Joy of Life)... now what are we going to do about our 'heart wounds'?...
