The Sun (our consciousness) has been in the earthy, Venus-ruled sign of Taurus for a while but his influence really kicks in as we greet May. Traditionally, this is the time of year for communities to celebrate Nature's fecundity by members participating in fertility rites, literally or symbolically. The holiday Beltane is one example but so is the dancing around the Maypole or decorating of baskets formerly favored by children. We may not have any formal activity scheduled but, with action-oriented Mars in the picture, let's honor this magical time of year with a gesture of appreciation for all that's manifested in our life. Venus, the planet of Love and Beauty and Taurus are all about our values and what we find pleasing. Realizing what we hold dear can be tricky but it's worth our giving the topic great thought since our answers will give us a greater understanding of ourselves.

Hello! I have chosen the next 3 stones from my magic box of rocks! This month, we will be going over Smithsonite, Hemimorphite, and Septarian Stone. If you don't recognize the names, that's because they are all a little less common to find. Smithsonite is a wonderful botryoidally formed stone that can create a variety of colors, yellow, green, pink, white, and bright robin's egg blue! Hemimorphite is also botryoidal, and can form in bright turquoise blue, white, and bright, sunny yellow. Septarian Stone is a combination of yellow Calcite, tan concretion, and brown Aragonite. All 3 combine to make a very unique stone with amazing capabilities to form some unique images.
