Hey guys!

Just want to pass on some information about the Zoo.  They have a huge event going on!  It is the Hummingbird & Pollinators Festival. 

When: Saturday, September 6 from 9:30 until 3!
Where: Amarillo Zoo
What: Exhibits and workshops on hummingbirds, butterflies, bats, and purple martins!

Tips for August!
 
1. Fertilome Southwest Greenmaker is the go to fertilizer this time of year.  We are going to start cooling down and you want that fescue and bluegrass to grow as much as possible in the cool weather!

2.  Activate has become "THE PRODUCT."  In a world where everyone wants to go green this is the first place to start.  Activate is a completely  natural product that breaks down your grass clippings and thatch and turns it back into valuable nutrients for the earth.  It also makes nutrients that we have in the soil more available to your plants.  Use it in your flower and vegetable beds also.   

 

3. Tomato Problems?  Use Tomato & Pepper Set if you have flowers but no fruit.  Use Yield Booster if you are seeing a black spot form on the bottom of the tomato. You still have time to get some tomatoes!!!

4. Yellowing in the yard?  It is either a fungus or grubs.  Bring us a picture and pull on the dead grass.  It is still has roots it is probably a fungus.  Use F-Stop.  If it does not have roots dig around and look for grubs.  We will use 24 Hour Grub Killer Plus in this situation! 

 

 

 

7. Get rid of the mosquitoes!!! We use Dr. T's Mosquito Repellent at our house.  It is a natural product that you sprinkle out on your yard and it drives them away.  If you want to actually kill mosquitoes you can spray Bug Blaster or 38 plus to kill them.  Don't take any chances! Protect your yard today!

8.  One word: Bermuda! We have a great product called Fertilome Over the Top II.  Over the Top is used to control the grass in your flower beds and not hurt your flowers, roses or shrubs.  If you have Bermuda growing in your Fescue or Bluegrass you need to come and get Hi Yield Turflon Ester. This product will not hurt your Fescue or Bluegrass but does a good job on the Bermuda and also works on bindweed and other broad leaf weeds.

 

10.  Hydretain!  This is our new water polymer product!  Simply spray it on your yard and cut back on your watering!  Great product to use in the heat!
