Cactus!

Desert Rose
Adenium obesum, also known as the desert rose, is native to the hot, arid lands of Africa. These attractive, small trees have thick caudices (perfect for storing water), leathery dark green leaves, and large red and white flowers. Their mature height can be about 9 feet tall. Adeniums are capable of producing flowers all year long, with short rest periods between. An alternative growing method, during winter's shorter days, is to withhold water. This causes the plant to drop it's leaves and go dormant. Always avoid extended temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This popular houseplant grows best when given a warm or even hot, sunny window or patio, watered well when dry, and given an application of Osmocote time release fertilizer a few times per year. Unfortunately, adeniums are poisonous. Every part of the plant is
poisonous and best not to have around pets or young children.
