United Way Campaign Kicks-Off!
Your Donation Has Power.
Grow. Succeed. Thrive. Unite.

Joined by more than 150 volunteers and community members, United Way campaign leadership launched the 2015-2016 "Your Donation Has Power" campaign and announced a fundraising goal of $1,300,000 during a luncheon last week.

Keynote speaker Andy Mohr, CEO of Andy Mohr Automotive Group, shared why he believes so passionately in the work of United Way. "Donating to United Way is about making our community a better place to live and work for everyone here. It's not a hand out. It's a rope to help people climb up to self sustainability...where they can make another step on their own."

Funds raised during the campaign stay local and support vital programs that help United Way and our network of member agencies and community partners achieve life-changing results throughout the coming year. Read more >>

  • 80% of at-risk teens, victims of domestic violence, recovering addicts, and families living in transitional shelter moved into stable, affordable, safe housing from programs at United Way member agencies.

  • 194,821 bags of groceries and 1,328,750 meals were provided to community members at risk of hunger in Monroe, Owen, and Greene counties.

  • $1/wk provides 33 bags of healthy groceries to low-income families.

  • $2/wk supplies a person with diabetes with blood sugar test strips for a year.

  • $6/wk ensures 2 days of emergency shelter service for victims of domestic violence.
