Looking to serve in the inner city? Looking for a group service project?
This January, our Lighthouse Bible study turns 1 year old! Between 40 and 80 students in grades K-8 from South Linden come out each week to share a meal, sit under a Bible study, participate in discussion groups, and play games.
Sharing a meal each week provides a great opportunity to build relationships and serve our students, in addition to providing solid nutrition. Eating a meal also helps our students focus better during the Bible study and discussion groups.
A group serving meals at Lighthouse
On most weeks, our meal is donated by generous volunteers or home church groups. We are looking for more individuals or groups to serve in this way during the upcoming year.
Groups have the option to stay and serve the meal or simply drop it off . Some groups even opt to bring pizza. The meal is served each week between 3:30 - 4:00 PM
A group effort!
