Pro Bono Celebration 2014
In an effort to address the ever-growing legal needs of the state's most vulnerable citizens, the Nevada Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission and State Bar of Nevada are calling on local attorneys and residents to participate in the sixth annual national Pro Bono Celebration, which runs from October 19 to 28.
There's something for everyone; a wide variety of events, including CLE programs, luncheons, Ask-A-Lawyer sessions and legal clinics will take place during the celebration week. For a complete list of Pro Bono Celebration 2014 events, visit either the state bar's Pro Bono Celebration page or the ONE Promise Nevada events page.

Las Vegas Justice Court IT Department Announces Access Changes
Las Vegas Justice Court is moving its case management system to a new infrastructure located in the Clark County Operations Center. Beginning Saturday, November 1, access to Las Vegas Justice Court case information will change. These changes apply only to Las Vegas Justice Court case and calendar access; access to district court case information will not change.
Access to Las Vegas Justice Court calendar and case information, both general and secure, can now be accessed through links at the Justice Court home page. The court's IT department will send emails and post a message on its website homepage when the new system is available.
Current Secure Access users can log on to the new site using their existing accounts and passwords. Users currently utilizing VPN accounts to access the secure site will no longer need VPN connectivity to gain access to the Secure Odyssey site; instead they can just click on the "Secure Access" link on the court's home page.
Access to the new Las Vegas Justice Court Odyssey system will require the installation of new icons for each desktop currently granted access using the full Odyssey Client. The court's IT team will work directly with individual firms' IT departments to facilitate these changes. Once the migration is complete, the court's IT team will broadcast a notice announcing that the new icons have been activated. Access to district court case information will not change. User accounts and passwords will remain the same.
Questions and concerns may be addressed to the Las Vegas Justice Court IT Helpdesk at lvjcithelp@ClarkCountyNV.gov or (702) 671-3282.
