CLE: Health Care Reform
The Nevada State Medical Association and the State Bar of Nevada are partnering to bring members "Health Care Reform: Forecast for Nevada and Fraud and Abuse Hot Topics," a follow-up to a 2012 CLE presentation. The seminar, sponsored by Holland & Hart, LLP, takes place on Friday, March 28 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Sierra Health Services/United Healthcare in Las Vegas.
A networking reception will take place immediately following the CLE presentation. Seating for this event is limited, so register today. This seminar provides four CLE credits.
During the seminar, prominent expert presenters will address recent fraud and abuse settlements and judgments, and they will discuss the investigation and prosecution of health care fraud. They will also outline the future of health care in Nevada. A complete seminar schedule is available online.

Common Ground Conference: Protecting Nevada's Consumers
The Nevada Office of the Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) are pleased to present the Common Ground Conference. This event takes place on Monday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Las Vegas City Hall Council Chambers (2nd Floor, 495 S. Main Street).
This event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not mandatory. To pre-register, e-mail your name and affiliation to bburke@ftc.gov. For more information, contact Beatrice Burke at the same e-mail address.
Among the speakers at this event are Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto, FTC Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection Jessica Rich and CFPB Deputy Director Steven Antonakes. The conference will include panel discussions on mortgage and foreclosure issues, consumer protection issues that impact immigrants, small dollar loans and their collection, and auto financing issues. Conference attendees can earn six CLE credits.
