Mock Trial Attorney Coaches Needed For Las Vegas High School
The 2014 Mock Trial state finals are fast approaching and, due to unforeseen circumstances, the three teams at Advanced Technologies Career Academy (at 2501 Vegas Dr., in Las Vegas) are without attorney coaches during this final crucial preparation stage.
No matter how much they study and practice, these teams will be at a disadvantage this year - unless members of the State Bar of Nevada step in to help. All of the other teams at participating high schools in the north and south have an attorney in their corner, coaching them through the twists and turns of the legal system.
To learn more about what coaching entails or to volunteer, contact the Law Related Education staff: Kathleen Dickinson at Kathleend@nvbar.org, (702) 317-1408; and Cathi Britz at Cathib@nvbar.org, (702) 317-1416.
If you aren't sure this is a job you can do, you are encouraged to ask questions. What it takes may be exactly what you have to give!
