December Issue of Nevada Lawyer

Check your mailbox and the State Bar of Nevada's website for the December issue of Nevada Lawyer.

The December issue contains a summary of selected 2013 legislation relating to courts and judicial procedure, crimes and criminal justice, and new traffic laws. The other important focus of this month's issue is stress and addiction in the legal community. Also, members will find a CLE quiz, worth one AAMH CLE credit.

If you've missed an issue, don't forget to check out the bar's website for access to many Nevada Lawyer back issues.

Nevada Lawyer Editorial Board Seeks Members

The Nevada Lawyer Editorial Board is seeking attorneys to fill one committee vacancy. Interested parties can find committee applications on the state bar's website.

The ideal committee member will be familiar with the publishing process, including lead times, deadlines, proofreading processes and Associated Press (AP) style. Ideal applicants will have previously authored articles for use in a printed publication.

The Nevada Lawyer Editorial Board is responsible for overseeing the editorial content in Nevada Lawyer magazine. Board members rotate monthly issue editor duties; during the assigned month, the editor solicits, collects, reviews, edits and approves feature stories and cover art. Board members meet monthly via teleconference and twice annually in person. Committee terms are three years with no term limits.
