 Check your mailbox and the State Bar of Nevada's website for the December issue of Nevada Lawyer. The December issue contains a summary of selected 2013 legislation relating to courts and judicial procedure, crimes and criminal justice, and new traffic laws. The other important focus of this month's issue is stress and addiction in the legal community. Also, members will find a CLE quiz, worth one AAMH CLE credit. Nevada Lawyer Editorial Board Seeks Members
The Nevada Lawyer Editorial Board is seeking attorneys to fill one committee vacancy. Interested parties can find committee applications on the state bar's website.
The ideal committee member will be familiar with the publishing process, including lead times, deadlines, proofreading processes and Associated Press (AP) style. Ideal applicants will have previously authored articles for use in a printed publication.
The Nevada Lawyer Editorial Board is responsible for overseeing the editorial content in Nevada Lawyer magazine. Board members rotate monthly issue editor duties; during the assigned month, the editor solicits, collects, reviews, edits and approves feature stories and cover art. Board members meet monthly via teleconference and twice annually in person. Committee terms are three years with no term limits.

Prepare for the Reporting Deadline with SBN CLEs
Nevada bar members' MCLE reporting deadline is December 31, and the State Bar of Nevada is well equipped to help members meet that approaching deadline. The bar offers online CLE seminars in video and mp3 formats. Both on-demand learning and traditional audio CDs are readily available on the bar's website. Visit the online CLE store to browse the huge selection and complete those requirements today.

The Nevada Board of Continuing Legal Education Welcomes Applicants
The state bar Board of Governors will make appointments to the Nevada Board of Continuing Legal Education (NBCLE). The NBCLE is a working board. Applicants must be willing to attend quarterly meetings and standing committee meetings. The applicants must also be willing to chair a standing committee.
Applicants should submit letters of interest and resumes to the Nevada Board of Continuing Legal Education at 457 Court St., 2nd Fl., Reno, NV 89501.
