Elder Law Section Sponsors Ethics CLE
The Elder Law Section invites state bar members to attend its one-hour ethics webinar: "Elder Law and Client Confidentiality - A Balancing Act." The presentation takes place on Thursday, December 12, at 12 p.m.
Assistant Bar Counsel Janeen Isaacson will discuss the challenges of keeping communications privileged while utilizing the latest technology, and the difficulties faced by attorneys when a client's mental capacity is in question.

NLS Presents Family Law CLE Double Feature
Nevada Legal Services presents a double dose of family law CLE in both Reno and Las Vegas. "A Strategic Plan for Litigating Contested Minor Guardianships" and "Understanding Same Sex Partnership Family Law" will take place in Las Vegas on Monday, December 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Palace Station Conference Center, Salon A, at 2411 W. Sahara Avenue; and in Reno on Wednesday, December 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Northern Nevada Bar Center at 9456 Double R Blvd., Suite B. Attendees can earn 7 CLE credits, including 2 ethics credits.

Join the Young Lawyers Section
The time for paying 2014 license fees has arrived. Attorneys who have been admitted to practice in Nevada for fewer than five years or who are 36 years old or younger should consider checking the box for the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) when paying those fees.
The YLS offers a host of membership benefits, including reduced CLE registration fees, networking and social opportunities, and access to the section list-serv. Members also receive a bi-monthly publication from the YLS. Members gain all of this for just $25 a year.

State Bar of Nevada members still have time to fulfill the aspirational goals of Nevada Rule of Professional Conduct 6.1 in 2013. They can support pro bono efforts in our state by taking a case or donating money.
