Bi-Partisan Support for Nevada Court of Appeals
A bi-partisan political action committee (PAC) hopes to raise voter awareness of Nevada's need for a court of appeals. The newly formed PAC, called Nevadans for a Court of Appeals, is co-chaired by Sen. Richard "Tick" Segerblom (D-Las Vegas) and Sen. Greg Brower (R-Reno).
In order to amend the Nevada Constitution to allow the creation of an appellate court, Nevada voters must approve that resolution at the next general election. The issue will go to the voters in 2014.
Nevada is currently one of only 10 states in the U.S. without a court of appeals.
