Supreme Court of Nevada: Public Meeting to Consider Matters on the Administrative Docket

 

The Supreme Court of Nevada is hosting a public meeting to discuss ADKT 486 (in the matter of amendment of NRAP 14) and ADKT 487 (in the matter of amendments to NRCP 26, 30 and 34), on Thursday, June 6, at 3 p.m. The meeting will take place in the courtroom on the 17th floor of the Regional Justice Center at 200 Lewis Street in Las Vegas. It will be video-conferenced to the 2nd floor Supreme Court courtroom at 201 Carson Street in Carson City.

 

Administrative docket files for each of the items on the agenda will be available for public inspection at the Supreme Court Clerk's Office in Carson City, prior to the meeting. Public comment will not be permitted unless otherwise ordered by the court.

Those members of the public who are disabled or otherwise require special accommodations/assistance at the meeting, may contact the Supreme Court Clerk's Office at (775) 684-1600. Every effort will be made to meet reasonable requests of this nature, providing they are made at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.

The Sparks Justice Court moved to its new location in January. The post office is still forwarding mail sent to the previous address, but the court may or may not receive this mail in a timely fashion. The court's phone numbers have not changed.  

 

The court's hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday (closed for lunch from 12 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.), and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Reminder to members: update your contact information including mailing addresses, e-mail addresses, and phone and fax numbers on the bar's website.

To begin, just sign in to your member profile. Your member login is capital NV, immediately followed by your bar number. The passcode is the last four digits of your social security number.
