Greetings! A segment of a conversation this week with my friend, Michelle, keeps reverberating in my mind. She told me about her neighbor's sister who has decided to move to Charleston, South Carolina, in the downtown area where she can feel the energy of the city.
I keep thinking about that - feel the energy, and I can relate to what she's talking about.
When we moved to our present house many years ago we were fortunate enough to have two neighbors on the block, each of whom moved in within months of our move, and each family had children the same ages as ours - 2 and 3 years old.
There was energy - lots of energy on our block. On Saturdays, after working on our houses all day, we'd have impromptu parties that lasted till the wee hours of the morning. We played, we interacted, we thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant energy that was always there.
Within a few years our houses were all fixed up, our good china was put to use, the parties turned more formal, and the energy slowly dissipated.
Finally, our neighbors moved away, replaced by delightful young families who are enjoying their own energy. I miss that energy. Perhaps another word would be connection.
Fortunately we live in an age where a different form of energy or connection is available for everyone--the computer with its chat rooms, mastermind groups, ezine subscriptions, squidoo groups, blogs, tweets, and the 24/7 availability of connection, albeit, not the same exhilarating feel of that energy we once knew.
Another form of energy which I still find exciting and fulfilling is working with people to help them find their passion in life. The amazing fact is that it is always easier to "see" what someone else is good at than it is to see what you are good at doing. Give it a try; it's fun, and it generates energy!

The next step for me was to enlarge on the programs which led to this two-page brochure printed on finely textured beige paper. The point of this article is to share another inexpensive-type format someone beginning in the seminar business can use.
