Greetings! Being an entrepreneur consists of three basic parts: creation of the product(s), marketing, and delivery. I love the first and third parts; I abhor the second and perhaps most important segment--the part that creates the income.
I actually enjoy writing the marketing pieces and developing the process, but that next step is not a favorite--selling! If any of you reading this enjoy that segment, let me know. Perhaps we could work something out.
The "Promoting Your Seminars" piece today appears long but does not have to be read in its entirely; it is merely an example of an inexpensive way to promote your seminars.

PROMOTING YOUR SEMINARS

After starting with the one-page brochure, the next step for me was to enlarge on the programs which led to this two-page brochure printed on fine textured beige paper. You can skim through the material, as my point relates to a layout possibility.
#1: SPEAKING PACKAGE
(Cost: $895)
Speaking and Imaging: This 14-week course uses speaking assignments to teach imaging, body language, and communicating skills. Step-by-step instructions guide even novice trainers to a successful training experience. All of the research and promotional materials necessary for the class are included.
Audiences: Companies, corporations, small businesses, and people wanting to master this skill are all viable clients. A by-product of facilitating this seminar is the development of the facilitator's own proficiency as a speaker, a skill which will enable him/her to earn additional revenue as a keynote speaker.

Many changes have occurred since these brochures were developed, but they were a start--and inexpensive ones at that.
As I mentioned last week three-page tri-folds are also easy to do on your own computer, and copying costs are minimal. There are people at copying shops who will gladly do the layout for you. The next pages are the home-typed six-page brochure.
