Blue Door Gallery is blooming this spring!
This month, we are thrilled to announce that our extraordinarily talented Open Mic' Host and ongoing Outreach Coordinator, Phylisha Villanueva, has now joined our staff as our Assistant Gallery Manager.
Our next exhibition, Lost & Found In Yonkers, is open. We hope you will join us this Thursday for our, LOST & FOUND IN YONKERS, OPENING RECEPTION, May 9th, 5 - 7.30pm.
And this Saturday, our poet-in-residence, Golda Solomon will be hosting another of her wonderful writing workshops in honor of our Mother's this Mother's Day weekend. Join us for our next Artspeak;
Mother's Day Gifts: Found Objects, Found Poems, Saturday May 11th, 2 - 4.30pm

CALL FOR FOLK ARTISTS
Voices
July 13th, 2013 to August 24th, 2013
Blue Door Gallery invites folk artists, and artists working with folk related themes, motifs and narratives to submit images for a new exhibition this summer.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: May 31st, 2013
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Email images to yonkersbluedoor@gmail.com
OR
Submit CD with images of entries in JPEG format to Blue Door Gallery,
5 Hudson Street, Yonkers, NY 10701. Attn: BDG#38
Actual work for exhibition must be no larger than 60" and no heavier than 75 lbs.
Artists may submit up to six entries. THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE. Artists whose works are accepted will be asked to pay an installation fee of $15/work.
COMMISSION: Blue Door Gallery receives 35% commission on all sales
