WOC Nurse Week 2014
This year, we're thanking our WOC nurses for the work they do all year during WOC Nurse Week, April 13-19, 2014.
Look for your 2014 WOC Nurse Week packet in the mail this week!
In addition to a WOC Nurse Week photo contest, the Society will also be asking WOC nurses to share their stories of "compassionate care & results" for a chance to win discounts and free CE courses from the WOCN Society's Continuing Education Center (CEC). Keep an eye on your inbox and the Society's social media channels; more information will be available soon!
WOC Nurse Week is supported by an educational grant from Smith & Nephew.

Ostomy Nightmares on Music Boulevard
Do you have a patient with a complex fistula/ostomy issue that has proved difficult to manage? Is it keeping you up at night? Is it giving you nightmares? The "Ostomy Nightmares on Music Boulevard" session to be held during the Annual Conference on Monday, June 23, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm, will be an interactive opportunity to present your case with your colleagues and brainstorm solutions.
You will have 10 minutes to present your case study and five minutes will be allotted for audience participation/suggestions. Presentation should be 4-6 slides. The first slide should include patient history and the subsequent slides should include pictures.
This will be an interactive session. You can poll your colleagues on solutions and they can respond using an interactive audience response device. The audience will also be able to ask questions.
This is a unique session that will allow you to share one of your "nightmares" with the conference attendees, have a group discussion and consider ways to manage your patient nightmare.
Deadline for submissions is May 5, 2014.
