The time is here! Registration is now open for the Run for Education on April 17, 2016!!

This year we have a few new things to make the event extra special, but don't wait! With two great co-chairs like Kelly French and Bryan Gillette, you're sure to have a blast! More info coming soon...

Can't run for some reason or just want to get more involved? We need you too! Sign up to volunteer at http://ppierun.com/volunteer/. We especially need course marshals to help direct runners and cheer them on!
Grant Applications are open!
The application for this year's Education Grant cycle is available on our website at PPIE Innovative Education Grants, as well as the application for Student Academic Competition Grants. Check it out!

You remember that PPIE has a YouTube Channel, right? Well, we've added new content, and if you subscribe to our channel you won't miss a thing!

The interim video reports from last year's Education Grant recipients are coming in - check them out at our YouTube Grant Programs 2016 Playlist. Here's a taste of what our wonderful teachers can do in their classrooms with your students with a grant from PPIE!

Special Shout-Outs!
The Hines Company, which manages Pleasanton Corporate Commons, hosts an annual golf tournament at Poppy Ridge and for the fifth year in a row, named PPIE as the sole beneficiary. In that time, their donations to PPIE have topped $40,000. This year alone, they raised nearly $10,000! PPIE Board President Bob Miller and Executive Director Susan Hayes attended the post-tournament dinner to present organizers with a plaque acknowledging their continuing support of education in Pleasanton.

PPIE was also chosen as a beneficiary for The Knights of Columbus' very first golf tournament held at Castlewood Country Club this past fall.

It was an honor to be part of what will hopefully become a new tradition in Pleasanton and their donation of $2,500 is greatly appreciated.

Pleasanton Weekly
And last but not least, thank you to the Pleasanton Weekly's Holiday Fund for once again selecting PPIE as a beneficiary. We were honored to be among the recipients. Although the numbers are not final yet, PPIE is estimated to receive over $8,000 from the Holiday Fund Donors. Thank you to the donors from our general community who support education through the Pleasanton Holiday Fund!
Together we can make such a difference for our children! If you'd like to get more involved, please contact Executive Director Susan Hayes or just use our Volunteer Sign-up on the website, it is that easy!

Sincerely,

Joan Laursen, PPIE Communications
