We are shaking it up a bit this Fall. Instead of the Toasts and Tastes of Fall event, we have something special planned for you! Put Thursday, October 1st, on your calendar for a great evening you won't want to miss. More details to come in August...
Thank you, Wente Foundation!
Our High Schools will each receive approximately $4,000 for digital arts education as a result of the "Fund-A-Need" efforts at the Livermore Valley Wine Auction event on May 9th. This video succeeded in inspiring bidders to enthusiastically raise their paddles!

PPIE is grateful to the Wente Arts Foundation for Education's Tri-Valley Arts Education Committee, led by Christine Wente, for focusing on arts funding in our regional schools. The committee, comprised of the four superintendents from each district and the executive directors of their respective foundations, began meeting in 2014 to benchmark and identify gaps in regional arts education programming and explore funding solutions.
PPIE Vice President receives Community of Character Award
We couldn't be any prouder of the work our Foundation Board members and EFC volunteers do every day on behalf of our students, but it was very special to know the community values one of our own so highly! Congratulations to Kelly French on receiving the 2015 Community of Character Award!

Changes for PUSD and PPIE
As you are probably aware, Superintendent Ahmadi has accepted a new job as Superintendent of the Castro Valley School District. Ms. Ahmadi has been a wonderful partner with the PPIE Board and EFC volunteers - a true champion for our students and programs. The PPIE Board wishes her well in her new role, and looks forward to working with the Interim Superintendent.
