School Board restores programs with PPIE's help
Positions funded by PPIE's commitment of $330,000

PPIE fully supports the mission of ensuring QUALITY education across all sites for all students. The Instructional Coaching model provides job-embedded professional development - in other words, IN the classroom training and support for teachers - which will reach all students at all levels.

PPIE committed - and PUSD accepted - $330,000 to fund 4 additional positions for next year:

Instructional Coach - Technology (Scott Padway returning)

Instructional Coach - Math (new addition)

Instructional Coach (2) - Early Literacy (new additions)

But we're not done yet! It is time for our Annual Spring Push as we head toward the end of the Giving Fund 2015-16 Campaign. What more can we do to finish the year strong and provide additional technology and support for our students?

Your donations for the 2015-16 Giving Fund are designated for Technology and Student Support. We're looking to beat last year's numbers...can we do it together?

We especially want to thank our donors who stepped up to a new sponsorship level this year, but every single donor made a difference in this campaign! You can see our list of donors on our website (and it is never too late to join their ranks by donating now).

Register now for the Run for Education!
Prices go up March 10th

We created the Spirit Award to acknowledge the school with the greatest participation. Walnut Grove is widening its lead but the race is far from over as Lydiksen strengthened its second place standing. Valley View and Amador Valley saw the highest percentage increases from the previous week!

Our goal for this year's 3rd Annual Run for Education is to write a check for at least $100,000 to contribute to the critical educational programs PPIE supports. Help us reach this goal - sign up for the Run for Education at www.ppierun.com. Your children win, your school wins, and who knows? your principal could even win the Spirit Award!

Pre-Race Registration Volunteers Needed
Want to participate, but can't be there on Race Day?

We have several times reserved to set up tables at the Farmers' Market, Gene's Fine Foods, and Safeway (both Bernal & Santa Rita). We need a few volunteers to help us spread the word about the Run for Education and take Run registrations!

We have t-shirts and PPIE "tattoos" to give away for these on-the-spot registrations. Click here to sign up for a shift!

Student Grant Recipients Announced
Made possible by our generous partners!

We are pleased to announce the PPIE Innovative Student Grant awards for 2014- 2015. Fourteen (14) PUSD students were awarded a total of $5,002 in funding for a variety of student-initiated projects. For the complete list, please see our website at Student Grant Awards 2014-15.
