Do you know an Innovative Educator?
Grant Applications due March 5, 2015

Last year PPIE awarded $41,000 to 20 educators and counselors! We hope to do even better this year with the generous support of our donors!

PPIE offers Innovative Education Grants for Pleasanton Unified School District employees to fund projects that are student-focused, promote creativity and innovative thinking, and offer expanded learning opportunities to students. Grant requests are accepted in amounts up to $3,000.

Don't delay! Applications are due on March 5th and can be found on the Grant Page of our website. You can also peruse the list of projects we've funded in the past!

Scott Padway - Instructional Technology Coach
Another way PPIE supports Technology and YOUR student

Scott Padway With new technology requirements - found over 80 times in the Common Core Standards - it is a must that teachers have the training and support they need for innovative instruction integrating a variety of digital devices.

PPIE recognized this need by fully funding one additional Instructional Technology Coach for the 2014-15 school year.

Scott Padway, the new Instructional Technology Coach, and his colleague Lisa Highfill, work daily with teachers at all sites helping them implement technology in a way that transforms classroom lessons, activities and instruction - making the most out of the dizzying array of technology tools for education!

In addition,
Scott has been attending evening events and Principal's Coffees at various schools to help parents get the hang of it too. Check out all the good stuff in his newsletter The Changing Times. Thanks, Scott!
