NEWS FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 2, 2013
Looking for a last-minute tax deduction?
Year-end is upon us!

If you haven't made your PPIE donation yet this school year, we invite you to donate to PPIE as you consider year-end giving opportunities.  Aren't sure whether you have contributed during this year's campaign? Check our list of Giving Fund 2014-15 Donors.

As you know, Pleasanton schools are nationally recognized as high quality examples of public education in America, and our high schools regularly appear in national rankings of "Top 100" lists for educational institutions.

Your past donations have helped PPIE fulfill our mission to enhance education across the entire PUSD - check out what we accomplished for this school year with your help from last year.

For the upcoming 2014-2015 school year, PPIE's goal is to build on this year's achievements and to do that, we need your help. Your donation is 100% voluntary and tax deductible and you can choose from four (4) Donation Levels:

  • Gold- $1000 per student
  • Silver- $500 per student
  • Sponsor- $350 per elementary student and/or $200 per middle/high student
  • Participant- Amount less than suggested donations

Donate now to help us continue to make a difference with smaller class sizes & student support, technology, and additional class sections.

PPIE Raises Money by Giving Back
$2600 Donation Earned by Volunteers
On November 6th, PPIE volunteers took time to give back to one of our corporate partners, Safeway Foundation- earning PPIE a $2,600 donation in return!
EFC member Chris Lovelock learned of the opportunity to assemble gift boxes for Safeway's Gala Fundraiser just weeks before. She rallied over 20 PPIE volunteers from a variety of schools who gathered at the Safeway corporate offices in Pleasanton to execute the quick and easy project.

Whether they stopped in for just an hour or stayed for the lunch hosted by Safeway, it was a great opportunity to meet other PPIE volunteers from throughout the district and make new connections and friends.

Thank you, Chris, and your team, for spending a little time to make a big difference for PPIE!

FAQ Corner - do you know?
Why we need an education foundation?
PPIE is a non-profit education foundation supporting all Pleasanton public schools to maintain high quality education for all students. We raise funds for critical district-wide programs and services such as smaller class sizes, additional class sections, technology and student support.  Check out our FAQ to find out how school funding works and why PPIE's role is so important.
