CASTING CALL.....  for your cat!

I'm in need of a mellow short hair cat in the Johns Creek/Alpharetta GA area. I'm working on a pet project, and I need to take a few photos of a cat.  The cat must already be accustomed to wearing a collar and tag, and be relaxed about strangers coming by to take pictures.

No pay, but I can promise a handmade custom pet tag!  Do you know the perfect cat?  Please contact me!

REMOVING PATINA
by Pam East

This particular instructional video came about in a backward manner.  Originally, this was supposed to be "Adding Color to Fine Silver with Anodizing".   Unfortunately, I was supremely unimpressed with the anodizing and ended up with piles of gray silver in desperate need of cleaning.   It got me thinking about various methods of patina removal, especially when you have inclusions that can't be fired or exposed to acids. A little research and I found a couple alternatives that are pretty slick!

If you want to see my technique review about Anodizing, you can view it here.  It can be pretty well summed up with "Meh" but the experiment was interesting.

IMPACT Artist Project

This month Holly Gage launched her Kickstarter for the Impact Artist project.  This comprehensive program is designed to bring together artists, teachers and suppliers for the benefit of community building and support.  You'll find a lot of resources collected in one place, extensive class listings, and fun programs to build your skills and earn rewards.

I hope you'll join me in backing this project!
