BOARD MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

1A. RECOGNITION - MLK Participation in Globe Shakespeare Academy
The TRUSD Board of Trustees recognized Martin Luther King Jr. Technology Academy students and Ms. Natalie Hamilton for their participation in the Globe Shakespeare Academy, and for proudly representing Twin Rivers Unified School District in a recent performance at the UC Davis Mondavi Center.
1B. Swearing in Ceremony - Provisional Appointment for Trustee Area 5
At the December 8, 2014 special board meeting, the Board of Trustees approved Sonja Cameron as the provisional appointment to fill the Board vacancy in Trustee Area 5 and to be announced at the December 17, 2014 regular board meeting. Ms. Cameron was sworn in and seated with the Board.
2. PRESENT - Proposed Summer 2015 Paving Projects
An update of Twin Rivers Unified School District's 2015 paving projects was provided. Sites will include: Rio Tierra Jr. High School, Futures (Charter) School, Pioneer Elementary School, Smythe Elementary, and Woodridge Elementary School.

3. PRESENT and APPROVE - Twin Rivers Unified School District 2014/15 First Interim Report and Positive Certification
School district governing boards are required to certify twice a year regarding their ability to meet their financial obligations for the remainder of the year and for the subsequent two fiscal years. A positive certification indicates that based upon current projections the District will be able to meet its financial obligations for the current fiscal year or two subsequent fiscal years. The certification, along with accompanying documents are referred to as the Interim Reports.

4. PRESENT - Benchmark Assessment Development & Review

5. APPROVAL - Personnel Recommendations
The Board of Trustees approved all personnel recommendations. The recommendations included new hires, promotions, resignations, and leaves.
