Arts|Learning's Champions of Arts Education Advocacy Awards honor individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions to arts education advocacy and continue to make strides toward the goal of high quality arts education for every student in Massachusetts.

Get the Cover Pages and Narrative Form (required with each nomination) as well as other information about the awards program.

Awards categories include the following:
  • Distinguished Arts Educator Advocate (dance, media, music, theatre, visual arts)
  • Excellence in School Administration Arts Advocate
  • Outstanding Parent Advocate
  • Outstanding Community Arts Collaborative (dance, media, music, theatre, visual arts)
  • Corporate/Business Support of Arts Education
  • Outstanding Student Advocate
  • Friend of Arts Education
  • Massachusetts School Committee Arts Advocate
  • Schools of Distinction in Arts Education 
Nominations may be submitted by any Massachusetts resident; self-nominations are encouraged. Please note most awards have a deadline of April 1.  All nominations must be submitted digitally according to the directions in the Nominations Packet.

Creative Minds Unleashed!
View our e-Showcase of outstanding original artworks by Massachusetts students in the Youth Arts Month "Creative Minds Unleashed" project, co-sponsored by Arts|Learning and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.  Thank you to all of the teachers who have submitted their students' work. 

Teachers in any of the visual or performing arts may still submit entries; the exhibit will remain online until May. (Picture on the right is by Gabriella de Avila e Paula, Chelmsford High School).
