A happy new year starts with vision
In Cody Rouge, community gathering next week to share plans, hopes for 2014 event
Greetings!

Do you start the new year by making a resolution? Maybe you want to lose weight, eat better, or volunteer more. In Cody Rouge next week, the community is taking that tradition one step further. They're coming together next week to hear about and help shape a vision for a 2014 event that will create impactful change for all who call that neighborhood home. It's going to happen during six days in August, when the nonprofit Life Remodeled is staging a one-week makeover that will touch three neighborhood schools and beautify several blocks in the Cody Rouge neighborhood. The goal is to complete much-needed updates to school buildings, reduce blight and make visible change in a matter of days. Plans and calls to action will be shared on Jan. 18 at a Vision Casting event. Find out more about the event and how to get involved in our latest Rose for Detroit blog post, or watch the short video below.
