EXCELLENT SCHOOLS DETROIT RELEASES SCORECARD
Grading schools gives parents valuable tool
Greetings!

Today is an important day for Detroit parents. After two years of data collection, our partners at Excellent Schools Detroit released their report card of Detroit schools. These letter grades take into account test scores, ESD Scorecardhow much students in these schools advance in a year, and community member feedback from doing site visits. It's an apples-to-apples comparison of schools across the city, and it's a great resource for parents looking for a high-quality school.
See the full scorecard here. We also wrote a blog about how the scorecard came together, and you can read that here.

Last month, we released our latest annual report, Tenacious for the D, featuring 10 Detroiters doing great things for great kids. These change makers work through our partner organizations to make life better for children living in Detroit. You can now see all 10 videos and read their stories on our web site. Read their profiles and watch videos of each Detroiter here.
