WE ARE SNAG: (Up)Setting the Stone Call for Entries

As the third juried member exhibition in the We Are SNAG series, (Up)Setting the Stone is an exhibition looking for your interpretation of settings. Stonesetting has been utilized in some of the earliest known jewelry. There are thousands of variations based on a few different techniques. Whether used traditionally with gemstones, applied to new materials, or even explored as a concept, this exhibition focuses on the setting. Submissions such as jewelry, objects, vessels, sculpture, and architecture will be considered, but are not limited to these categories. Deadline: September 15, 2016. Learn more and submit an entry>>>
Halstead Design Challenge Online Exhibition & Sale

Make it Shake, Rattle & Spin! This call-for-action was made to 100 lucky recipients of the 2016 Halstead Design Challenge kits. Each kit contained 50 components. Artists were asked to create a kinetic brooch using the supplies and a found object.

Select brooches were featured in an exhibition during SNAGneXt in May. Some of the brooches are available for purchase in this new online exhibition. A portion of the proceeds goes to SNAG.
