Each week we are featuring a candidate in Riveting News. There are five candidates for three seats on the Board; one candidate for Board President; and two candidates for one seat on the Nominations & Elections Committee. Members will also be voting on changes to the Constitution and By-Laws. You can find all the elections information online.
Featured Board Candidate: Elizabeth Shypertt
Elizabeth Shypertt was a co-founder of the Velvet da Vinci gallery, and co-ran it for 22 years. After that she worked with clothing designer Babette, curating jewelry for her boutiques and online store. She recently curated All That Glitters at the Petaluma Arts Center, in Petaluma, CA and is currently curating an enamels show for Shibumi Gallery in Berkeley.

Ross Tanner is the winner of SNAG's 2016 Perks Logo Design Contest. This fun new logo is the featured design for all our 2016 fundraising perks. Tanner also designed the 2015 logo. Tanner is a graphic designer in Grand Rapids, MI. He is currently working on building his own design studio and loves working with the metalsmithing community. He says: "They're all such stellar people and so great to collaborate with!"

Don't Miss SNAG's 2016 Portfolio Review
The Portfolio Review is for emerging artists, students or anyone in need of critical feedback. Held at SNAGneXt on May 20th, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Gallery representatives, curators, artist/professors, entrepreneurs, and other professionals will be available by appointment to review portfolios and provide professional advice. Deadline for sign-up extended to April 30th. A few spots remain -- first come, first served! Reserve your spot.

Tina Wiltsie finds inspiration in calligraphy, nature, architecture, and historical metalwork, and values precision and clean craftsmanship.
Wiltsie is a Michigan based metalsmith and freelance CAD designer. She currently works in Residence Life at Interlochen Arts Academy, where she is constantly inspired by the young artists she works with.
