What does SNAG mean to you? Why are you interested in committing your time and energy to our organization? I have been a member of SNAG for thirteen years, and within these years I have transitioned from student, to artist, to educator/artist. In 2004 I started attending the SNAG conference. My first conference I traveled to and attended on my own. I hadn't yet connected with the wider metals community and that first conference was a bit overwhelming. It's now an entirely different story, attending the conferences and being active in the organization continues to be a great source of community building as well as motivation for me. I can't imagine my growth as an artist and metalsmith without SNAG. At this point in my career I'm ready to give back and become more involved. I would like to become a Board member and work with others to help insure that the future of SNAG is a long and healthy one. Read more>>>

SNAG Links Preview
As we prepare for our Auction of Masterful Links during SNAGneXt, here's a sneak peek at another of the 2016 links:
Bi by Ezra Satok-Wolman 19k yellow gold, 500 palladium
The "Bi" disk is a symbol from ancient Chinese culture thought to symbolize the sun and/or sky. These objects testify to early stages of cosmological concepts and were handled by shamans, the transmitters of cosmological knowledge at the time. Canadian jewelry artist Ezra Satok-Wolman combines his passion for traditional techniques and contemporary art to create an identifiable style. His company, Atelier Hg, is run with his wife and partner Jennifer.

Make it Shake, Rattle & Spin!
This call-for-action was made to 100 lucky recipients of the 2016 Halstead Design Challenge kits. Each kit contained 50 components. Artists were asked to create a kinetic brooch using the supplies and adding a found object.
