SNAG Links Preview

As we prepare for our Auction of Masterful Links during SNAGneXt, here's a sneak peek at another of the 2016 links:

Footsteps by Jennifer Jordan Park
Enamel, CZs, silver and gold

This link represents the journey taken to connect with others and our inner selves. The gold foil represents footsteps over the surface of darkness, while the enamels vary from opaque, translucent, and transparent, illustrating that the journey is not always clear. Jennifer Jordan Park received her M.A. in Studio Art from New Jersey City and has been honored in the Saul Bell Design Awards, Niche Awards and MJSA Vision Awards, among others.

IMAGINE PEACE NOW!
Disabled guns in Boris Bally's studio, ready to ship to accepted participants.

The Innovative Merger of Art & Guns to Inspire New Expressions, or IMAGINE PEACE NOW Exhibition, is a call to arms, hearts and hands intended especially for contemporary metal artists. Included work will respond to, and initiate conversations regarding, the gun violence so prevalent in American culture today. The project is soliciting proposals for art via an open call for proposals  from the greater metals community. Invited and accepted entrants will be shipped dismantled weapons to transform into (un)loaded objects of art. Find all the details on Boris Bally's website. Deadline: April 15, 2016.
