SNAG Member Receives LEAP Award
 
Congratulations to SNAG member Laura Jaklitsch of Somerville, MA for being selected as Contemporary Craft's 2016 Lydon Emerging Artists Program (LEAP) winner. Jaklitsch, who received her BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing in 2011 from Massachusetts College of Art, elegantly combines traditional craftsmanship and modern design in her work.

SNAG/Crafthaus Conference Scholarship Deadline Approaches

This scholarship is awarded every January to a SNAG & crafthaus member, and is intended to enable attendance at the annual SNAG conference. Application for the scholarship is open to all SNAG and crafthaus members (must be a member of both organizations). The recipient must have finished their education and currently work in the general field of jewelry or metalsmithing. Deadline: January 30, 2016.
Juried Exhibition in Print

"Shifting Sites" is SNAG's 2016 Juried Exhibition in Print produced by Metalsmith magazine. We are seeking examples that address fluid boundaries in the production, subject matter, and siting of current metalwork and that creatively engage with their environment. Deadline: January 31, 2016.

WE ARE SNAG: Contemporary Smiths, a new online exhibition, highlights some of the extraordinary works created by members of SNAG. Juried by Sue Amendolara, Greg Gehner, and Tom Muir.
Student Exhibition & Digital Presentation
Attention students and faculty! SNAG's 2016 Juried Student Exhibition and Digital Presentation of Student Work are now taking entries. They will both be presented at SNAGneXt in May. Deadlines: February 11, 2016.
