SNAGneXt: A New Conference Event

SNAGneXt is our new conference event! It will feature 2 ½ days of talks, demos, workshops and events in Asheville, NC, May 18-21, 2016.
- In 2016, SNAGneXt will be framed around four themes: Wellness and Holistic Practices, Finding Your Voice, Multi-Faceted Approach to Making and Selling, and Bridging Art & Fashion.
- Inspiring the entrepreneurial spirit; connecting attendees in new ways to the field and community.
- Featuring presenters who are or have been full-time makers, gallerists, and people engaged in the business side of the field.
- Held in a variety of places throughout Asheville, offering attendees the opportunity to experience more of the host city.
- Including favorite events such as the Exhibition Crawl, Vendor Room, Trunk Show Sale, and Exhibition in Motion.

Halstead Design Challeng e Sold Out
A huge thank you to everyone who ordered a Halstead Design Challenge Kit last month. We sold out of the 100 kits in about 24 hours!
The lucky 100 are creating kinetic brooches that will be exhibited at Blue Spiral 1 Gallery during SNAGneXt. The brooches will be for sale, helping to raise funds for SNAG.

 SNAG Member Achivements
Tom Joyce's sculpture "Thicket" has been installed at the Mint Museum Uptown. It is a seven-and-a-half-foot square block composed of stainless steel rods passing through cast iron hammer. Other recent member achievements. |
Student Membership Contest Winner
Congratulations to San Jose State University! They signed up the most student SNAG members during our contest which ended on Friday. The school will receive a free one-year Organization Membership with SNAG. Thanks to all the students who sent in memberships! |
Jim Cotter Lecture
Jim Cotter will be giving a lecture at 5:30pm on November 12th at Colorado State University, Visual Arts Building. The lecture is open to the public and will cover Cotter's history as a pioneer in the world of contemporary jewelry and sculpture. For more info contact vail@jcottergallery.com |
