Jewelry Panel Discussion this Wednesday

Don't miss the conversation this Wednesday, October 28, 5:00pm at Pratt Manhattan Gallery with Kipp Bradford, Lauren Kalman, and Marzena Marzouk.

In conjunction with the exhibition After Wearing: A History of Gestures, Actions, and Jewelry, this discussion expands upon the question posed by the curators: "What can I do to a piece of jewelry, and what can a piece of jewelry do to me?"

Bellevue Arts Museum: Metalmorphosis

Bellevue Arts Museum is seeking artists, craftsmen, and makers in the Northwest working in the medium of metal to apply to the BAM Biennial 2016: Metalmorphosis (September 2, 2016 - late January, 2017). Deadline: December 15, 2015

Case of the Nomads

SNAG member Casey Sheppard is looking to talk about her travel project Case of the Nomads. She is currently seeking locations, especially universities, to give her lecture in January-July 2016 in Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida and other southern areas as well as Colorado and Utah. Exhibition in Motion

SNAG's theme for the 2016 Exhibition in Motion is Xchange: Fashioning Intersections. The event is scheduled for May 21, 2016 during SNAGneXt in Asheville, NC. SNAG is partnering with fiber group Local Cloth. Apply to participate now.
Emerging Curators 
SNAG has identified the need to support emerging curators in the field of jewelry and metalwork. This program offers grants up to $2,500 to assist an emerging curator or curators in executing an exhibition focused on jewelry and/or metalwork. Learn more and apply now. Deadline: December 1, 2015.


Lifetime Achievement 
LAA
SNAG is seeking nominations for its 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is SNAG's highest honor and is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of metalsmithing. Make a nomination today. Deadline: December 18, 2015.
