Since 2001, SNAG has sponsored lectures at the International Expositions of Sculpture Objects & Functional Art (SOFA). We bring some of the most interesting contemporary jewelers and metalsmiths into the public eye. All lectures are free to SOFA attendees.

2016 Exhibition in Motion Deadline Approaching

SNAG's theme for the 2016 Exhibition in Motion (EiM) is Xchange: Fashioning Intersections. The event is scheduled for May 21, 2016 during SNAGneXt in Asheville, NC. SNAG is pleased to produce the EiM in partnership with local Asheville fiber group Local Cloth.

For the 2016 EiM event, we are looking for large-scale collaborative wearable objects and looks. Apply to participate today! All applications are automatically accepted. Each participant needs to fill out the entry form and pay the $25 participation fee. See the full prospectus for all details. Deadline: October 16, 2015.

On display at Pratt Manhattan Gallery through November 14, this exhibition demonstrates the relational and participatory potential of jewelry, investigating its presence in the social world through artworks, jewelry objects and commissioned projects that invite visitors to consider interactions and actions, meanings and emotions, commitments and side effects.
